So, I also am late. But better late then never! So we had our ward Halloween festival on Saturday and I had signed up to bring cornbread. (I am not a chili fan) Then my husband said they were asking for more people to bring chili cause they didn't have enough. So I made some chili, but I figured if I was going to make some, I would find a recipe that I would actually like. So to Google I went. I found a recipe for a white chicken chili and I decided to try it. I ended up winning first place overall for it, it was soo good. I actually only got a taste of Jared's because by the time we went through the line it was almost all gone. We finished it off with the kids and Brandon. And my kids ate it, Emily was done with it in like 5 min. I was amazed. Brandon has requested that this become part of our normal dinner schedule. Awesome! My kids just started liking chili this year (because I actually made it a few times and made them at least taste parts of it). I think they'd like this kind even better. Way to go winning the award! The chili I took to our cook-off was totally a smorgasbord because I was worried we wouldn't have enough for all who attended; I just kept cooking up meat or throwing in more kinds of beans!
